At the last meeting of the Trustees of the Charity Foundation, the Trustees approved a measure authorizing each member of the ACBL Board of Directors to designate a charity or charities to receive a total of $1,000.00 in the year 2000.

This notice is published so that any member of District 10 may recommend to me a worthy cause as a possible recipient for the above amount. Only one charity will be selected to receive the entire amount. Any recommendations must be in writing and submitted to me before July 1, 2000. The written recommendations must have:

The exact name of the beneficiary.

A copy of the IRS designation as a 501 (c) (3) organization.

The name and address of the person to whom the check should be mailed.

The Charity Foundation Trustees are also seeking comments on this program and the advisability of continuing it in future years. Please address your comments to me and I shall relay them to the Trustees.
